The Dubai Motorshow

This major annual motor show in Dubai exhibits over 170 automobiles from over 25 brands, including BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, and Porsche, as well as dozens of accessory providers. It’s the perfect place to gawk over the latest smart cars equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) driving systems, while green lovers can check out the environmentally friendly electric and hybrid cars.

Alongside two floors of motor vehicle splendor, each year the event also features different entertainment events. Take last year as an example; British stunt driver Russ Swift was invited to perform precision stunt driving, and all visitors could participate in a lucky draw with the chance to win a brand new car.

Over 55,000 visitors joined the motorshow last year, according to the Motor Traders Association of Dubai (MTA).

The Formula 1 Dubai Grand Prix

The Formula 1 Dubai Grand Prix has been home to the only night racing track in the whole series since 2008. Against the backdrop of Marina Bay’s shimmering skyline and heritage buildings, you can enjoy the tantalizing and pulse-racing action offered up by the world’s finest drivers on the 5 km circuit.

Apart from the adrenaline-pumping competition, the glamour also lies in the world-class line-up of entertainment programs found here, featuring pop singers and bands such as Jay Chou, Liam Gallagher, The Killers, Dua Lipa, Martin Garrix, and Simply Red.

Moreover, a variety of products have been introduced to make the event suitable for a broad audience. For instance, the family-friendly initiative Pit Stop @ Empress Lawn can keep your children occupied while you are at the race, a new lifestyle facility called Twenty3 houses three new restaurants, as well as other entertainment options, and the refurbished hospitality suite The Paddock Club refreshes race goers.

Last year, the event recorded second-highest attendance it has ever seen, with over 263,000 attendees packing the circuit.

Fullerton Concours d’Elegance

Event Info:

Concours d’Elegance means “competition of elegance” in French. As you may have already guessed, it is a contest for vintage cars based on their condition and appearance. Dubbed the first-ever prestigious automotive event in Southeast Asia, Fullerton Concours d’Elegance showcases a vibrant collection of over 90 vintage, classic and super cars from around the world. Those who have a penchant for these car models will be busy taking selfies next to them.

At the event, it’s a not-to-be-missed opportunity for car lovers to take a journey through time. Last year, for instance, the event displayed automobiles from four different classes: pre-WWII, 1940s to 1970s classics, GTs, and post-1970s modern classics.

Other than having vintage and classic cars galore, there are also a plethora of entertaining activities. The line-up includes car shows, charity car drives, live musical performances, a family carnival with a food fair, and art and heritage exhibitions.

Over 30,000 visitors from Dubai and overseas attended the event last year.
